Pack for Success

Packing plays a major roll in the success of your move. If you choose to pack your belongings yourself, make sure your boxes are packed tight so that the tops do not cave in. Add blankets, pillows and linens to your boxes for extra protection and to help prevent caving. Boxes that are not packed correctly are hard to stack and can cause your items to be damaged during the move.

Usually it is easiest to leave your clothing in your dressers and armoirs. Our movers will put moving blankets on your furniture and use shrink wrap to keep all drawers and doors shut. If you keep jewelry, perfume, or other fragile or liquid items in your vanities, night stands, or any other piece of furniture, please remove them and box them up to prevent these items from breaking and/or spilling while your furniture is being moved. Use wardrobe boxes for the clothing that hangs in your closet.

Please be sure to pack your pictures, mirrors, and other wall hangings in picture and mirror boxes to keep them protected during your move. We are not liable for any damage caused to pictures, mirrors, or wall hangings that are not properly packed.

Be sure to use plenty of packing paper and bubble wrap to protect your precious belongings! We are not liable for any damage to any items that we did not pack. Moving trucks are bumpy on the road and we cannot control the way your items shift within boxes while they are in transit. Pack with care!
